Halloween Hidden Pictures

Guidelines of assignment was to create a hidden picture illustration for a kid's magazine. And to use different pen and ink stroke techniques.
The beginning of this project was difficult for me to build the story and figure out the layout of the characters and the story of the peace.
Other than that, creating the actual illustration went mostly smoothly, with some confusion with how to shade with the pen techniques. But with alterations I got through. I tried to use the majority of techniques, the wavy lined technicals were hard to incorporate. But the stippling was easy as well as the cross-hatching, and the lines felt natural to add.
Overall, I'm happy with it. It does feel a bit cluttered, but I think that's due to lack of white space.

Strange Comforts Magazine

This is a 12-page Magazine made with InDesign primarily. Photoshop was used to convert all used photos to CMYK, and used for front page, table of contents, and back page.

The limiting factor was it had to fit into a theme.

This was based on how hobbies in childhood grow and change with you.

There were many challenges throughout the piece through having the idea and making it a reality, from what order to put the hobbies in, to how to arrange the text. The hardest part of all was the main page, as I had no idea how to start to wrap something like this together.

I showed great improvement throughout putting together this large assignment. From it just looking like a mood bored with thoughts behind it to having finished pages scattered around.

Denali Trifold Brochure

In this assignment, the class got access to the luxury blanket company Denali's assets and logos to work with and produce a brochure.
There were a lot of requirements to have certain assets on each page alone with its text.
I struggled a lot with this assignment, as there was so much text, it felt so cluttered.
I am proud of it in the end, as the over arcing design and color pallet of the brochure ended up working well with the companies video on their website, which was the only type of brand design I could find attached to the company already.
